You have to swirl the powders a bit to blend, but when you do and give it time to set, the colors meld seamlessly. It was a teensy bit too warm for me, so I mixed it with Contour 2 to get my perfect shade of bronze. I took the angled side of the brush and brushed Contour 1 into the hollows of my cheeks. In my kit were Highlight 1 (a champagne shade), Highlight 2 (pink highlighter), Contour 1 (a warm honey-colored bronzer), and Contour 2 (a cooler, darker-brown bronzer). The first time I ever used it, it was for our Best of Beauty testing process (spoiler alert: it ultimately won the award for best contour kit of 2018). I’ve always been more partial to powder contour/highlight formulas, as I find them more friendly for everyday wear. Out of all the items in her makeup collection, the KKW Beauty Powder Contour & Highlight Kit was what the product I was waiting for. From watching her family’s show religiously, one can really deduce her love of beauty, and I remember thinking, Well, if she does this, it must be good. When Kim decided to launch KKW Beauty, I was more excited than surprised. may not have been the one to invent contouring, the makeup technique wouldn't have become so mainstream had it not been for that famous selfie she posted of her face divided into tans and beiges like a topographic map, courtesy of her go-to makeup artist, Mario Dedivanovic.
